Translating your CV to Resume

This is a virtual event on April 7, 2023 at 11am Eastern.

Do you know how to convert your 5+ page CV into a 1-page resume? Come learn about the process from two of our members! We'll discuss methods to highlight your work experiences and transferable skills, framing, organization and word choice. Our speakers will share examples from their specific successes in finding work and what got them there.

Workshop Leaders:

Daniel J. Borrero

Head of Programs & Operations - The Skyscraper Museum

Daniel received his BA in Urban Design and Architecture from NYU and his MFA in Architectural History from the Savannah College of Art and Design. His thesis, "The Fight for a Borough: The Cross-Bronx Expressway, its Construction and Revolt," explored how a failed highway revolt in the Bronx paved the way for future successes in diverse neighborhoods across the United States. It also highlighted how forgotten stories can be remembered today- this goal of spotlighting the efforts of sidelined communities is an effort he brings to all of his work as an Educator and Manager in the non-profit sector. By showing students and others how the past can be used to inform the present, architecture and planning are brought to life for people of all backgrounds.
